Gyan Sagar Public School, located on Ram Krishna Nagar Main Road in Patna, is a co-educational institution that caters to students from Nursery through Class 10. Established in 2014, the school is recognized for its commitment to providing quality English-medium education under the CBSE curriculum framework. Below is a detailed description of the educational journey from Nursery to Class 10: ## 1. Pre-Primary Wing (Nursery, LKG, UKG) The focus at this stage is on "Play-Way" and experiential learning to make the child’s first transition from home to school smooth and enjoyable. Curriculum: Emphasis on motor skills, language development (phonetics), and basic numeracy. Activities: Storytelling, rhymes, coloring, and interactive play to foster social skills and curiosity. Environment: A colorful, child-friendly atmosphere designed to ensure safety and comfort. ## 2. Primary Section (Classes 1 to 5) This stage builds the foundation for formal academic disciplines while maintaining a balanced approach to co-curricular activities. Subjects: English, Hindi, Mathematics, Environmental Studies (EVS), and Computer Science. Focus: Strengthening reading and writing skills, logical thinking, and environmental awareness. Holistic Growth: Introduction to arts, crafts, and physical education to identify individual talents. 3. Middle School (Classes 6 to 8)## The curriculum becomes more structured as students transition from general studies to specific subjects. Subjects: Science (divided into Physics, Chemistry, Biology), Social Science (History, Geography, Civics), Mathematics, and a third language (often Sanskrit). Skill Development: Emphasis on laboratory experiments, project work, and group discussions. Technology: Integrated computer education to make students digitally literate. ## 4. Secondary Section (Classes 9 & 10) This is the most critical phase where students prepare for the CBSE Board Examinations. Academic Rigor: Intensive coaching in core subjects—Maths, Science, and Social Science—to ensure high performance in board exams. Counseling: Career guidance and personality development sessions to help students choose their future streams. Assessment: Regular unit tests, pre-boards, and practical exams to track progress and build exam confidence.
